What is a domain name?

A domain name is the address which identifies your website; google.com, google.co.uk, hartec.co.uk are all examples of different domains.

Can I have more than one domain name?

As many domains can be assigned to a single website as you like, but we strongly recommend having no more than three or four as this can have very negative effects on search engine results.

What emails can I have created?

We can create as many email addresses as you like using your domain, for example: info@yourdomain.com, sales@yourdomain.com, help@yourdomain.com, joeblogs@yourdomain.com, etc.

What is website hosting?

Every single website needs to be hosted on a web server. A website is simply a jumble of images and code all stored on a server.

How can I get a quote for a website?

To get a free quote simply use the contact us page to send us an enquiry, we will then contact you and establish the requirements of your website and give you a quote.

How do I know I will happy with my website?

We will place the project website on a testing server which you can view, we will constantly keep in touch when we are designing your website and take on board any feedback or criticisms you have of the website. We will only make the website live when both us and you are happy with it.

What happens if I want my website changing after it is completed?

After your website is live you will no doubt eventually want to change or update the content of the site at a later date. We will maintain and make any minor changes to the site as long as we are hosting the website. If any of the changes are significant we may have to charge a small fee. If you find you are making regular changes to the content of the website we advise you to upgrade to CMS or a Content Managment System (see below).
